OUR STORY
WE ARE GETTING MARRIED
Nick
We met September 4th 2015 on Baker Beach. I remember feeling a little nervous but mostly excited. When I arrived, I immediately saw Ali in a beautiful yellow skirt. I don't remember if I shook her hand, hugged her, or both - but I do remember feeling immediately comfortable.
After finding a nice spot we drank some wine, talked about our lives and watched the sunset. It was the perfect first date. Pretty quickly we knew about each others jobs, what we do for fun, our families - all the good things. I found myself getting a little more comfortable and I remember questioning myself about what I wanted to do next. RecentIy I picked up a new hobby... "Stolen Moments" are when people take a selfie and someone else (me) takes a photo of them while they are taking that selfie... Yeah, how could this go wrong? You just met an amazing woman and everything is going great. Why not tell her about your weird hobby of taking pictures of strangers? She loved it and we ended up sending pics of strangers taking selfies back and forth immediately...
Ali
When I met Nick, I was instantly smiling and laughing. After a perfect first date, Nick broke all those dating rules and texted me a few minutes later. We exchanged a few messages, which ended with me suggesting we do it again. And then...no word from Nick for 10 days. 10 days!
I headed off to Europe for some time off and a bit of work and while exploring Madrid I decided I would give him another try. Instead of words, I sent him a picture of a stolen moment (see description above). He responded within minutes. And so began a multi-week exchange of photos and texts. When I finally got back to SF, I couldn't wait to see Nick. Our second date lasted 9 hours and involved multiple meals, pictures of strangers, and possibly a bottle or two of wine. Finally, after 9 hours, Nick kissed me right next to my bus stop for the 38bx (I smile daily while waiting for the bus remembering that moment). Nick might have played hard to get, but he was worth the wait!

Corey
COMING SOON!

Zoey
I first met Zoey at Eddie and Esther’s house. We went over for a dinner to meet the extended family and I was nervous. I was very soon at ease as I quickly became engrossed in games and songs with Zoey as she showed me her most prized possessions.
I am always impressed at how she can have fun and make a game out of anything. Nick loves going to baseball games and one of my favorite games of all time was with Zoey who played with a napkin and my arm for over two hours keeping herself entertained.
Zoey and I share a love of ice cream and every time we see her we get to enjoy that together. I have to admit, Zoey was the first little lady to truly melt my heart and I can’t wait to have her help me walk down the aisle to marry Nick. And as a promise to Anya, as Zoey’s soon to be auntie, I promise not the bring over any toys that make noise!

Michiko
I met Michiko at work and again at a CPA study course where she came up and introduced herself. While our friendship was slow at first, we had our first girl outing at a UCLA football game and that quickly turned into many nights of head scratches and meowing to each other.
I convinced Michiko to move in with Neil and me, even after someone smashed the windows in her soon to be room and stole almost everything in the apartment. I'm so glad she didn't back out.
Neil, we're sorry for scaring your friends away by meowing so much, but we aren't sorry for all the fashion shows. I still have trouble making a purchase without fashion showing it for Michiko. I couldn't have gotten through the busy seasons without her encouraging words and without her listening to all my vents.

Felipe
We met at the pacific cafe restaurant in Marin about 15 years ago. I was a waiter and Felipe was in the kitchen.
In the restaurant environment, having the kitchen team on your side is one of the most important things a waiter can do. I had an interesting hurdle with Felipe because we couldn't really communicate due to the fact that we didn't know much of the others language. What we did know was mostly the bad words. Those are always the easiest to remember.
He expanded my vocabulary, which got me into trouble at times, but brought us closer. We became brothers almost immediately and he has been family ever since.

WE'RE SO EXCITED
TO CELEBRATE WITH YOU

Dave
We met in New York in the beginning of Anya and Dave's relationship. I was not a fan.
The more time I spent with him, he soon became a man that I looked up to and a man that I greatly respect. I am so honored to call him my brother. I look up to him as a guide and a role model of what a father and husband should be.
Not only is he creative and talented but his core values are old fashion and aligned with mine. He is somebody you can trust, somebody you can count on, somebody who will make a joke at his wedding during my speech to him and his new wife about "physical confrontations" and someone that is and always will be family.

Molly
This hamster has been there for it all since we met in the second grade. Our shared love of Taco Bell is something our mothers do not understand. While some girls get free drinks at bars, Molly and I score free cinnamon twists at TB. I cherish the shared sunsets together with a couple of 5-layer-beefy-burritos. I'm the luckiest that I can be myself around Molly, no matter how loud I get, and I'm so glad she supports my craziness.

My favorite trait of Molly (sorry) is the hysteric tears after a few glasses of wine. I'm so happy she tricked me into running a marathon with her so I can always put it on my resume. Nobody else would have helped me put my difficult spandex back on in the rain after stopping to go to the bathroom (something she warned me again in the first place).

When I was unsure of Nick in the very beginning, she gave me the best advice. Molly told me to drink a lot.

Scott
COMING SOON!

Jessica
I couldn't imagine attending 8 stagecoach music festivals with anyone but Jessica. Seriously, who else can do such aggressive dance moves to keep people from encroaching on our space?

Her wise wisdom guides me in all manners of life. And somehow she always manages to encourage me to go on crazy shopping sprees.

I can't wait to someday go back to Europe with Jess and see if she'll remember to speak French instead of Spanish when in Paris. We will have learned by that time what comfortable shoes are, so that we don't cut up our feet walking all over London. And one day I hope she admits how much she loves my cuddles and snuggling.

Jonathan
I met bandanna at an audition for a musical. It took about 5 seconds before we were best friends.
Do you remember the days when you had to watch TV shows live or suffer the year long wait for the DVDs to be released? We do. Our friendship blossomed over nights watching Gilmore Girls, the OC, and America's Next Top Model in the dorms.

I didn't learn how to cook until I tried mastering mac n cheese varieties with Jonathan, some of which he ate and some of which were stolen by the dog. We later mastered the homemade pizza. We spent hours making up dances, singing, and giggling.
While I was not a big party kid in school, Jonathan was there taking fake water shots with me at parties pretending to be drunk!

Tyler
Tyler has taught me so much, like how to wakeboard, how to type, and what buses to ride in the city (something I'm now teaching Nick).
I was lucky enough to have my brother to lean on and crash with over the years on 23rd avenue. Our friendship took off over shared Thai food delivery when I no longer had to decide between curry or noodles. With Tyler, I could get both!
I have always admired him and tried to keep up with his many skills, talents, and interests. I'll never forget all the ladies crushing on my big brother when we were little and how cool I felt being driven to school by my brother, feeling safe that he was there to look out for me.

Lindsey
The moment I met Lindsey, I knew we would be friends. There was something very different about her.
When we first met, she was constantly surrounded by her group of friends. They are all cool and fun people but Lindsey is definitely the star. She is one of the few people that can always get me. She is always quick to tease me as a friend should and always has my back. She is not afraid to tell me the truth and I can always trust her honest opinion.
We've been friends for over twenty years and if you ask her I'm sure she'll have a few embarrassing stories about me you've never heard.

Brandon
I met Brandon at Deloitte, introduced through a mutual friend. We had our first meet up over tea in D Café. My first thought - what a boob. Our friendship quickly grew through shared meals, inspections, nights spent dancing at cafe, tennis matches, and cruising the sea. I never heard a person so excited to see a turtle.

I learned one very valuable lesson from Brandon. It happened one morning trying to drive to San Jose for a work training and while swerving around a Prius, he shouted 'I ain't got no time!' As I laughed at his sassiness, I realized how true that statement was.

He supported me through my dating era and was always there to hear the hilarious stories, until I finally met boothang. And that's when the stories really began...

Tristan
I have known Tristan since we were kids. We always found ourselves in trouble. During one of his moves he offered me his furniture, including two large couches. The building he was moving out of was being painted, so all of the exits were surrounded by scaffolding. This made it impossible to move them the normal way. We devised a plan. Our plan was very clever, and well...stupid.
We planned to remove the couches through the porch, using a random rope Tristan had laying around. I was safely on the porch while Tristan waited below. As we lowered couch #1 the rope snapped and I watched the couch drop toward Tristan. He luckily stepped back just in time as the couch slammed to the ground. He survived and the couch was in one piece. After bouncing around it was resting nicely on its legs. Couch #1 down and we had a new plan for couch #2.
We dropped couch #2 on couch #1. This worked. After our success removing them from the building, we naturally wanted to be just as impressive transporting them. So we placed the couches one by one on the roof and held on with our bare hands. We never dropped either couch and I ended up using those couches for years in multiple apartments.
After years of finding trouble together, he has become an inspiring family man and professional chef. Who woulda thunk it?

Jill
I have known Jill most my life. We met at the wise old age of 3. She was there as I tried out all the hair styles, including my favorite high side pony tail.
Jill is my friend that is down for anything, including jumping into the freezing ocean of bodega and trying out for the cheer team.

One night, when we were trying to be cool SF babes taking public transportation, we found ourselves in the tenderloin all dressed up and terrified. Jill eventually taught me how to live in and love this city. But she left for SJ to be with her hubby and more animals than I can count. One night out on the town in San Jose, we realized both of us would rather be relaxing at home with wine (and five newborn kittens and two dogs). I woke up around 1 am and found myself covered in kittens. It was the best and I always feel at home when I'm at Jill's.
